What was sunsett on Brinker's Legacy Portal on September 1?

Proposals (Progen) and Forms Library. Your new Advisor Portal has all the same functionality and more!

When will Brinker's Legacy Portal sunset?

Our goal is to ensure your experience in the new Advisor Portal is as good or better than the Legacy Portal in every way prior to retiring legacy functionality. We anticipate being able to sunset the legacy portal by the end of 2024.

What has changed since the portal launched last August?

Since the initial portal launch, we have been making incremental changes based on your feedback. In case you missed it, here are some enhancements that rolled out to you up until now:

  • Improved site speed in multiple locations, including model load in the proposal, summary screen load in New Account Opening, and client portal positions and transactions 
  • Updated AUM Snapshot default view
  • Ability to impose a risk score in the proposal
  • Revealed DocuSign status details in the prospect screen for new accounts
  • Added in all your Orion Contacts under your profile in the portal
  • Ability to void/resend Docusign envelopes in the prospect screen for new accounts
  • Made all Registration Types & the ability for multiple applicants available in the proposal
  • Destinations Sub-adviser visibility in Portfolio View
Using the Advisor Portal, can I get a consolidated view of my client’s household instead of having to go to multiple snapshots for the same client?

Yes, this is one of the benefits of your new Advisor Portal. To take advantage of this, you may need some support to restructure your client data, and we’re here to help you. We encourage you to take time to review your Households. 

In some instances, you may choose to restructure them to fully leverage the power of the new and enhanced features on the Advisor Portal. Gone are the days of having to navigate to multiple snapshots for the same client — by restructuring your data, you can have a consolidated view of your client’s household. Schedule time with your team to discuss restructuring your client data.

Will my client's experience be improved by the new views?

Yes! This will positively impact your clients’ portal view. Clients’ will experience their data organized the same way you will in the new Account Snapshot view on Advisor portal — within a managed and unmanaged section, the data will be structured by registration and then account.

How can my assistant pre-populate paperwork?

In the e-sign modal, we have created a role for “Edit and Preview”. This is a non-signing role that will receive the DocuSign envelope first for the purpose of reviewing and prepopulating paperwork prior to sending to the Rep and then Client(s) for review and signatures. This is available wherever e-sign is offered.

Due to a limitation within DocuSign, non-signing roles can’t see which fields are required. If you are utilizing the “Edit and Preview” role and need assistance with determining what fields are required, please reach out to Client Service at 800-333-4573. Please note that the Rep and Client are able to see which fields are required.

As an alternate solution, you can update the 'Rep Email' to allow someone else to pre-fill the paperwork. In the event that paperwork requires a Rep signature, this person would then also DocuSign on their behalf. Rep signatures are typically only required for Co-Advisory Investment Advisory Agreements and BD-specific paperwork in the new account workflow.

Where can I see pending activity?

The Service Request Grid in your new Advisor Portal will be your one-stop shop for all pending activity. Pending Activity for items e-signed through the new account workflow, forms library and service requests will display within the Service Request Grid. Items uploaded through a Service Request or submitted to Brinker outside of the portal will also display within the Service Request Grid.

Pending activity on the Brinker Legacy site will remain available until the portal sunsets. Pending activity on Legacy and Service Request Grid will remain in sync but, there will be a lag. The activity record will display faster on the portal in which the activity originated from. You can find the Service Request Grid in the Advisor Portal by clicking on “Servicing Requests” with the “Servicing” menu item in the left-hand navigation:

Is PDS offered as one of the new features in the Brinker Advisor Portal?

Yes, PDS is still available on Destinations and Destinations ETFh. For new accounts, populate the PDS section on your client’s Investment Advisory Addendum. Adding or removing PDS on an existing account can be done using a form.

When will decumulation be available?

The decumulation workflow in the proposal was launched in August 2024. The decumulation workflow will generate a Monte Carlo simulation based on the allocation represented in the proposal and distribution inputs provided by the user.
