Following a period of significant behind-the-scenes development, the CRM provider is rolling out visible improvements alongside a new Early Access program aimed at increasing user feedback and product collaboration. 

Laying the Foundation: Performance and Infrastructure Enhancements 

Over the past several years, Redtail has focused on foundational improvements, including infrastructure upgrades and system optimization, to support future innovation. Recent performance enhancements are already live, including: 

  • Contact Timeline Load Time: Reduced from 20–30 seconds to under half a second, enabling faster client history reviews. 

  • Activities Dashboard: Now 20% faster, improving daily task and activity management. 

  • Main Dashboard (“Today’s Page”): Load time nearly halved for a quicker start to the day. 

  • Calendar View: Improved load speeds by approximately 30%, streamlining scheduling and event tracking. 

  • Faster Logins: Redtail significantly improved the login process by optimizing token validation, cutting response time from 5 seconds to just 400 milliseconds. These backend enhancements have helped reduce overall login times from roughly 15 seconds to as little as 3–5 seconds in real-world testing. 

Additionally, Redtail CRM users have begun to see refinements to the user interface, including cleaner visual elements, expanded workflow template libraries, and calendar feature upgrades. 

Introducing Early Access: A Collaborative Development Model 

To increase transparency and user input, Redtail has launched Early Access, a new feature development framework that invites CRM users to explore upcoming tools before they’re officially released. Unlike traditional beta programs, Early Access is open to all users and can be toggled on or off through the user’s Preferences settings. 

Early Access is designed not just for early previews but for active collaboration. Feedback collected through in-platform surveys helps shape final releases. A recent example is the rollout of Dark Mode, which underwent refinements based on user input about text visibility and contrast before reaching full production. 

All Early Access features run parallel to the core Redtail experience, ensuring full access to existing contacts, tools, and workflows.

During a recent webinar focused on Early Access, Redtail shared several priorities and upcoming updates: 

  • Rollout of self-service CRM database ownership changes 

  • Continued workflow and automation enhancements 

  • More regular roadmap communications 

  • Expansion of Redtail User Groups, small communities working closely with the product team 

  • New channels for user feedback and recognition of highly engaged contributors
