Geopolitical events can move markets quickly, but understanding what matters most takes context. In this conversation, Ben Vaske talks with Major General (Ret.) James “Spider” Marks of Academy Asset Management about the fragile ceasefire between Iran, Israel, and the U.S., what safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz could mean for oil markets, and why the path forward may depend on validation, sustained pressure, and what happens next across the region.
Major General (Ret.) James A. “Spider” Marks is Head of Geopolitical Strategy and an Academy Senior Advisory Board Member. He is the Founder and President of The Marks Collaborative, an advisory for corporate leader development, education, and training, and has led entrepreneurial efforts in global primary research and national security.
