Integration Setup Guide

What it actually takes to enable the Pontera integration.

It's more straightforward than you'd expect. Four steps, clear documentation, and hands-on support from both teams. The full guide is below — no form required.

The setup process

Four steps from where you are to full integration.

The integration follows a defined path. No open-ended implementation, no ambiguous milestones. Here's exactly what's involved.

01 Agreement

Sign the Pontera Data Writer Agreement.

This authorizes the API connection between Pontera and Orion. A Pontera relationship manager will send the agreement once requested — it's the starting point for the entire integration.

02 Account Setup

Enable Import Orders on your Pontera account.

Pontera's support team activates the import orders page on your account. This is handled on the Pontera side — your team doesn't need to configure anything at this step.

03 Platform Configuration

Configure your settings in Orion and Eclipse.

Set up the required permissions and settings within Orion and Orion Eclipse. Both components need to be configured to support the integration.

  • Orion Connect: enables reporting, reconciliation, and billing on held-away accounts
  • Orion Eclipse: enables trading and rebalancing within plan restrictions
  • Firms can start with Connect and add Eclipse when ready

04 Connection

Establish the API connection in Pontera.

Once Orion and Eclipse are configured, establish the API connection in Pontera to complete the integration bridge. From here, held-away accounts are live in your workflow.
